Yesterday I wrote a riddle in three parts, progressing in easiness:
With a Coldness
With a coldness kills a walker
With a rock it makes a blocker
With a hole it hides a stalker
With a foot that never walks
It never eats; it never talks
But may look down on soaring hawks
Bravest men can die on whim
Rivers run away from him
Gawkers gaze from highest rim

The Answer
I don’t know if anyone could guess my riddle from reading only the first three lines. The second part is easy enough for some persons but the third should make it easy for most adults, for what do rivers consistently run away from?
Ready for the answer?
A mountain
